Thomas Edward Hurley, 62, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL since 2021, formerly of Raleigh, NC, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born September 24, 1960 in Cincinnati, OH to the late William and Mary Hurley, Jr. He attended Western Carolina University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Business in 1986 and was a member of Delta Sigma Phi. He built a career in the residential and commercial building industries. Tom was a skilled carpenter and experienced sailor. He enjoyed rides on his motorcycle, singing and playing his guitar, and was an animal lover at heart. Thomas was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by daughter, Erin Hurley (Alan Riggs) of Farmville, NC; as well as siblings Suzanne Hurley (Greg Zarus) of Atlanta, GA, Sally Hurley (Mohamed Fathelbab) of Alexandria, VA, William Hurley III (Veronika Hurley) of Cape Coral, FL, and James Hurley of Virginia Beach, VA; and nieces and nephews Tara, Katie, Devin, Yuri, and Eli. He is survived by his Australian Shepherd, Pepe, as well.

Memorial services will be held at Renaissance Funeral Home of Raleigh, NC on December 5, 2022 at 3pm with a visitation at 2pm. Memorial contributions in memory of Thomas Edward Hurley are suggested to Best Friends Animal Society.
