Shirley Hopkins Register, 56, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. She fought a brave battle against leukemia.

Shirley will be remembered for her kindness, generous spirit, and the genuine care she showed to those around her. She had a special way of making others feel valued and appreciated, and her warmth and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A devoted mother, beloved daughter, cherished sister, aunt, and friend, Shirley treasured her family and the many meaningful relationships she developed throughout her life.

She is survived by her two children, Cassidy Register and Carson Register; her father, Dennis Hopkins; her mother, Evelyn Hopkins, and her mother's partner, Jim Parks; her siblings, Marylou Hopkins (Eric Thorn), Alan Hopkins (Heather Hopkins), Wayne Hopkins (Crystal Bartlett), Ashley Hopkins, and Michelle Hopkins; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Paisley Cookson, who passed away in 2016. Paisley's memory remained close to Shirley's heart throughout her life.

Shirley was blessed with a wonderful circle of friends whose companionship, laughter, and support brought great meaning to her life. During her illness, these friends demonstrated extraordinary kindness and generosity, offering comfort and assistance to Shirley and her family. Their thoughtfulness and unwavering support will always be remembered with heartfelt gratitude.

Although Shirley's life was far too short, her legacy lives on through her children, her family, her many friendships, and the countless memories shared with those who knew her. She will be remembered for the kindness she extended to others, the relationships she cherished, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.

Shirley will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
