Raymond Bernard Davison passed away at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC on July 28, 2020 at the age of 81.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Marjorie, and by his wife Patricia and his brother James.

Raymond is survived by his three sons, Donald of Peachtree City, GA, James of Raleigh, NC, and Robert of Clayton, NC; grandchildren Colleen of Peachtree City, GA, Helen of Peachtree City, GA, Jamie of Raleigh, NC, Nicholas of Clayton, NC and Natalie of Clayton, NC.

Raymond was born in Rochester, NY on October 3, 1938. He graduated from the Aquinas Institute in Rochester, NY and went on to earn a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh in 1965. He worked as an organic chemist and research scientist and was a member of the American Chemical Society for more than 40 years.

A visitation will be held at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615 on Friday July 31, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Burial to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park at 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.
