Obituary For Michelle Dawn LeFavor

Our beautiful and amazing Michelle Dawn LeFavor passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at the age of 51 on Sunday, February 27, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her father, James David Woody. Michelle is survived by her husband of 23 years, William James LeFavor, and their daughter Karli Jeanine LeFavor. She is also survived by her mother, Londa Lee Woody of Raleigh, North Carolina; her sister, Lisa Gayle Woody of Cary, North Carolina; her children, Jerrica Brandon and Haley Brandon of Pittsboro, North Carolina; and her brother, James David Woody II of Orlando, Florida. Michelle was born in McComb, Illinois and was raised in Sciota, Illinois.

She moved to Roxboro, North Carolina in 1985 and graduated with an Associates Degree from Durham Technical Community College in 1991. Soon after earning her Associates Degree, she moved to Raleigh to work as a technical and sales associate for PageNet. In 1996, she embarked on a successful career with Sprint as a software design engineer. Michelle married William LeFavor on October 30, 1999. Michelle and William had a loving, fun, and respectful marriage. In 2001, she left Sprint to become a devoted mother, wife and homemaker.

Michelle surrounded herself with genuine people, touched many lives, and was a positive influence and confidant to many of her beloved friends. She loved being with her daughter and family, drinking coffee, reading poetry, sitting by the pool, decorating and designing; and was a fashionista with a bold sense of style. She always honored traditions and holidays and loved making people feel special. Family gatherings filled her heart with happiness. She had a soft spot for animals and was involved with many animal rescue and adoption organizations. She was deeply invested in the Raleigh music scene as a fan and a promoter. She had a special place in her heart for the music community and friends she made through the years. She loved every moment.

Words, feelings or expressions can’t begin to describe how much we will miss her each and every day. Her infectious aura lifted the souls of the many lives she touched. Michelle is and will always be our everything. At Michelle’s request, no funeral arrangements will be made. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her honor to www.savinggracenc.org.

“I love rescue animals, fashion, poetry, and Rock-’N’-Roll. I surround myself with people who are compassionate. Let’s make the world a better place.” - Michelle
