Matthew Kevin Long, 55, of Raleigh, NC passed away March 8, 2023 at Duke Raleigh Hospital after a long battle with health issues.

He is the son of Kenneth J. Long and the late Alice Simmons Long of Raleigh. He was born January 19, 1968. He graduated from Sanderson High School in 1986 and NC State University in 1992 with a BS Degree in Marketing. His special interest in accounting became his career. At the time of his death, he was employed by Credit Suisse International at their Morrisville, NC office.

Kevin was married to Lysa and they had a daughter, Emily Elizabeth Long. His stepchildren are Layton, Lauren and Bronwyn. Kevin's older brother, Barry, of Raleigh survives.

Kevin's passion was sports, especially baseball. He loved the Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed camping across NC and spending time at the beach. Kevin also enjoyed online gaming with folks around the world.
