Marilyn Elizabeth Bucolo, age 91, of Raleigh, North Carolina died Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in her home. She was born June 15, 1931 in Queens, New York to the late Helen Kohler Schander and Nicholas Shepard. She was the widow of Salvatore J. Bucolo. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Paul Schander, her siblings, June Savage and Clare Schander.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Spoonhour and her husband, Erich; her grandchildren, Amanda Ross, Kevin Ross, Tyler Ross, Aidan Spoonhour, Abigail Spoonhour and Ethan Spoonhour; her brother, Paul Schander and his wife, Annette; her brother-in-law, Frank Savage.

Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family and loved being close to her grandchildren. She was an avid animal lover especially her cat, Casey, who was by her side until the very end. She was a lover of nature in general. She always enjoyed travel and fine dining while having a good cocktail.
