Lisa Carol Sain

Lisa Carol Sain, born June 4, 1964, in Raleigh, North Carolina, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on October 15, 2026.

Lisa lived in Raleigh her entire life, except for her years in college. She was a good friend to many over the years. She excelled at befriending people and bringing them into a group where they might feel at home. Her love for the Lord was evident to all around her and it spread into every area of her life. In recent years, especially, she grew much in her study of the Bible and then in her love for teaching the Bible to the women around her. Lisa has had many challenges in her life and through them all, she has praised God and given the glory to Him as He sustained her.

She has been a member at Christ Covenant Church since 2003 and will be terribly missed from this body as well as her family, where she played an integral role.

Lisa was a member of the class of Sanderson High School 1982. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Asbury College in 1986. She later worked in support, training, and services at Medic Computer Systems and as a Salesforce administrator at Jagger.

Lisa loved (and is loved by) her family deeply and leaves a great hole in our midst. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Coley Sain; her sisters, Beverly Compere (Tom) and Pam Rundle (Mike); and her nieces and nephews: Ruth Gao (Morgan), Elizabeth Compere, Emily Coglizer (C.J.), Ezra Compere (Nikki), Joel Rundle (Gracie), Betsy Rundle (Riley Smith), Shiphrah Compere, and Annie Rundle.

Lisa’s firm faith, generous heart, and encouragement will be remembered by all who knew her.

The service will take place in the The Harbor (Amphitheater) at 2pm. on Monday, October 19th, 2026. The family will receive guests following the service.

Guests are invited to wear something colorful in celebration of the joy and warmth she brought to those around her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lisa's name to Christ Covenant Church (Missions Fund), 6501 Fox Road, Raleigh, NC 27616

I am so very sorry to hear about Lisa's passing. I have known and worked with Lisa for well over a decade. I live in Canada but used to have to travel occasionally to North Carolina for work. Whenever I would come, Lisa would always make a point to invite me to dinner or an activity in the evening so I wasn't spending my nights alone in the hotel; she was just so thoughtful! During those evenings she spoke warmly of her family (whom it was obvious she adored) and her deep faith, which radiated through everything she did. She was such a special person, and I'm so glad I knew her. Sending love and strength to her family, and thinking of everyone who will miss her. Robyn Baker Edmonton, Canada

I met Lisa through my wife Julie and she has always been a good friend to not only Julie but our whole family. One time I planned a surprise dinner party for Julie for getting her PMP and I asked Lisa to help by getting Julie out of the house so I could get things ready. When they came back the guests had arrived and were hiding. One of the ladies inadvertently left her bag on the bench by the front door and Julie saw it when she walked in, looked oddly at Lisa who was wearing her bag and asked, "is this your bag ". Without a beat, Lisa replied, "sure is". That saved the surprise and I was so thankful for her quick thinking! I have other fun memories as well. All this to say that Lisa was such a blessing and her faith in the Lord was a true inspiration!

My deepest condolences to Lisa's family and loved ones. Although I didn't have the opportunity to know Lisa personally, the kind words shared by her colleagues speak volumes about the person she was and the impact she had on so many. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18 (NIV) Praying that God wraps His arms around your family and gives you strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time. May her memory always be a blessing. With heartfelt sympathy and prayers, Krystle Kassab JAGGAER
