Obituary For Jerzy Cyprian Stojda

Jerzy Stojda, 83 of Raleigh, passed away on January 12, 2024.

Jerzy was born to the late Jan (John) and Stefania Stojda on November 3, 1940 in Krakow, Poland. He moved to the United States in 1987. His dream job as a young man was to become a pilot but his mother thought this was far too dangerous a profession. He worked as a land surveyor and while he preferred to stay busy, Jerzy always made himself available to his family. Jerzy’s faith was important to him. He always had a smile on his face, and he loved and supported his children and grandchildren.

Jerzy is preceded in death by his first wife, Maria. He is survived by their children Dorota, Agnieszka, and Piotr; his wife, Barbara; and his grandchildren Rafal, Konrad, Alan, and Lucas.

    Jerzy was a wonderful co-worker and mentor. He always had a smile on his face and a chuckle in his heart. He was always a pleasure to work with and to be around.
