Dearest Amy, Ethan, Griffin, Brecken, Buck, Judy & to all family and friends There isn't a day that has gone by that we haven't prayed for you all and continuously earnestly seek any mercies towards tending to your hearts. We will continue to do so. ...... When I think of Jason and O'Neal .... reflecting as the years went on, their mutual understanding of each other was as brothers by choice - A gift of life and friendship that will forever be felt. So thankful in recent days that they were talking while being on front porches and got some reflective deep talks in .. unknowingly, all the more special and Forever grateful for where today brings us. There will be no calls now, but I can guarantee I will somehow continue to see O'Neal out there on the porch swing having his own talks with Jason. We talk and can see Jason's face. We instantly see his smile, eyes filled with fun & cheekiness. Many many years ago during a December holiday group work night karaoke with spouses, O'Neal sang LEAN ON ME , an old 1970s song. That pretty much can sum up their friendship mantra going forward. I can see Amy and Kristi that same night as back up singers on an other karaoke group Meatball song , Yet everyone to be outdone by Jason and Amy dancing :O) He made sure they were going to be the Best out on the dance floor. Amy and Jason = the perfect compliments. It was like watching a dance off. No one could match them. Alot of energy in that room that night. No matter where he was, that's just how it was with Jason. He showed up and he brought it. Our hearts are broken by him having to leave so soon. Tricia Summers (O'Neal & Tricia) IN LOVING MEMORY ~ Karaoke LYRICS: " .. Sometimes in our lives we all have pain We all have sorrow But if we are wise We know that there's always tomorrow Lean on me, when you're not strong And I'll be your friend I'll help you carry on For it won't be long 'Til I'm gonna need Somebody to lean on ... Please swallow your pride If I have things you need to borrow For no one can fill those of your needs That you won't let show ... You just call on me brother, when you need a hand We all need somebody to lean on I just might have a problem that you'll understand We all need somebody to lean on ... Lean on me, when you're not strong And I'll be your friend I'll help you carry on For it won't be long 'Til I'm gonna need Somebody to lean on ... You just call on me brother, when you need a hand We all need somebody to lean on I just might have a problem that you'll understand We all need somebody to lean on ... If there is a load you have to bear That you can't carry I'm right up the road I'll share your load ... If you just call me (call me) If you need a friend (call me) call me uh huh (call me) if you need a friend (call me)"

Jason was my high school classmate at Valpo High in Indiana - Class of '89. We both continued our education at Purdue in West Layayette. He spurred my interest in the gas and welding industry while I was networking with him at our 10 yr class reunion. A few months later, he hired me at Praxair and I'm still in 26 yrs later. For that moment in time and for all the times I spent working for him in the early part of my career at Praxair, I will forever be grateful. Jason and his family moved around after that. He always brought life, positivity, light, and a competitive spirit to wherever he went. He truly was a great LEADER. I kept in touch with him over the years and will miss him. My wife, Terri, and I extend our sincere condolences to Amy, Buck, Judy, his boys, and all family and friends. Cherish the ones you love as we are all here on this Earth for a short period of time in the grand scheme. Rest in Peace Jason. May perpetual light shine upon you. Memory eternal. I will always remember Jason from the time we worked together at Praxair....an energetic, bright, can do, larger than life, leader. He would never back down from a challenge and believe me, I threw several at him. He never let me or the company down. My deepest sympathy goes out to his entire family and my family and I will keep him in our thoughts and prayers. RIP Jason. Wayne Yakich, former President, Praxair Distribution Inc.
