Dan was an amazing friend and mentor. I loved laughing with him. The two of us always tried to shock the other with crazy jokes. I can't count the times I laughed so hard my stomach hurt! He was my favorite words with friends buddy when the game came out. He loved field travel and we had fun adventures launching IPads to the field in rural parts of GA and Panhandle. Never a dull moment! Tons of laughter on those road trips especially up I-75 giggling at all of the random billboards. Dan gave the best career advice and family advice too. He and Laura were there for me when my son was born with their bouncers, swings, baby clothes, tips and were always there to listen. I spoke with Dan not too long ago. As always he gave me great advice. He was so happy and so proud of Laura and the boys. I'll miss my dear friend, my birthday twin. Dan was faithful and I know that he'll be there to greet us all with a big smile when we go home to our Lord and savior. Sending all of my love to Dan's family and friends.

I remember seeing Dan's smiling face picking up the boys from nursery at church. I always noticed the special love and looks that both he and Laura had for each other. Their life together was so sweet and I'm so grieved that it was too short. I know they both knew the love of the Lord Jesus and I know he is in Jesus arms now.

Dan, you are a loss that I'm not sure I'll ever get over. I will say, you loved more life in your 43 years than many of us do in a lifetime! You never shirked from a challenge. I'm not sure the word "challenge" was even in your vocabulary. You were the truest of friends and I am a better person for having you in my life. I will carry you always in my heart dear friend. Please watch over Laura, Michael and Benny, they need your strength now more than ever. Until we meet again one day, I love you and will miss you forever!
