Cherie Atkinson

Cherie Atkinson, a devoted Daughter of God and beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away on May 4th, 2023. She was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Born in Albany, New York, in 1971, she spent her life dedicated to serving others and living out her faith. One of the many unique things about Cherie was that she saw hearts everywhere she went. She believed that every heart shape she saw was a wink from God reminding her of His everlasting love. Whether the shape she saw was in the clouds, in a pile of rocks, leaves, flowers or even in the wet pattern of a spilled drink, it reminded her of God’s heart and her passion for Him.

Cherie was like an angel to her sister and family; always there to provide comfort, love, and support during difficult times. Her kind and generous spirit touched the lives of countless people, and her unwavering faith in God was an inspiration to all who knew her.
