Bill will be remembered for his faithful devotion to God and family, steadfast commitment to charity, his 1966 yellow Mustang convertible and his unique style.

Bill received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of North Carolina in 1951. He was a veteran and served as an Army Medic in Germany with the 11th Field Hospital. He was a member of APICS, The American Production and Inventory Control Society, Inc. for more than 35 years and was a certified fellow (CFPIM). I am very saddened by the loss of this dear and wonderful man. A friend and mentor for over 30 years, Bill exemplified professionalism, sharing and friendship. Though he was many years my senior, I always envied his energy and enthusiasm. Bill, you will be missed by many!

I want to express my heartfelt condolences to Bills family at this time of his passing. During his time on this earth he has made it a better place. And now he is in a better place with his Lord and Savior. I have had the pleasure of knowing Bill since about 1988 through APICS. While I never had the opportunity to participate in one of his many certification classes I have heard from many people how he was able to share his knowledge and experience in a way that they were successful in becoming certified. And his students were then able to assist their own organizations to improve and to grow. Bills expertise was multiplied many times over by his ability to impart it to his students. I did have the opportunity to participate in several short presentations at various APICS events in which he again willingly shared what he had learned. Bill impacted many people and will be sorely missed. We are all better people for having our paths cross with Bill Boyst, even if for just a moment!
