Brian: I didn't know your Dad but I am very familiar with what you must be going through. I lost my father in 1981 when he was only 55 years old. My wife Ginger lost her Dad about the same time. We know that it sounds contrite, but rest assured that the memories that you share with your family and friends will sustain you through the coming years. We still think of our Dads every day and those thoughts keep him alive within us. Please know that our prayers are with you and your family.

I worked with Bill at the DA's office for several years. We parked on the same floor of the parking deck and often walked in to work together. He was a great presence at the DA's office and was very respected. He also helped me out, when I applied to a job with the SBI. He liked to give me a hard time about being a Wolfpack fan! I am thinking of your family during this time and hoping you are cherishing all the good memories you had with him.

Some of my earliest memories are going down to Beaufort each summer and stopping in New Bern to see our cousin Billy.. Billy always had the best stories and could make me laugh especially with his tales about working at the funeral home. As we got older we didn't see each other so much but kept in touch with Christmas Cards and an occasional family reunion. HIs Jake and the Fatman Christmas cards were the best! Billy has and will always be in our hearts and my love and prayers go out to Bryan and Michele.

I remember Billy from NBHS as such a jovial person with a hilarious sence of humor. You'll be missed, Billy.
