Obituary For William F. Knipper

Went on to meet his Lord on June 26, 2013, Bill was the son of Cyril and Frances Knipper, Born May 9, 1939 in Oswego, New York and raised in Erie, PA. He was a 1957 graduate of Cathedral Prep in Erie and a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard and served during the Vietnam War. He was employed by True Temper Corporation in Geneva, Ohio and Assumption Church and School also in Geneva and Retired from St. Raphael Catholic Church and School in Raleigh North, Carolina after 18 years of service. Bill lost his wife Patricia on April 13, 2011, after 37 years of marriage and now they are together once again with our Lord.

Bill is a Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus, Past Grand Knight of Council #9880 in Raleigh and Past District Warden. A member of American Legion Post #187 in Wake Forest, NC., and a member of St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his children William Knipper. Brian Knipper, Margaret Knipper Tokarsky and Kathleen Knipper Mazanek and Step Children David Walker, Richard Walker, Lu Ann Walker Strickland and Christine Nellies Dornburg. The Family will receive Friends and Relatives Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 4 to 6pm at Renaissance Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass is Scheduled for Monday July 1, 2013 12:00pm at St. Raphael�s Roman Catholic Church.

Donations may be made in Bill�s name to the following: American Legion Post 187 of Wake Forest North Carolina, JDRF the Columbia South Carolina Chapter.

    I loved to see Mr. Knipper when he came into our office. We loved to discuss Disney and of course Buddy came to visit too. We will miss his wonderful smile, it brightened everyone's day.
