William Charles Johnson, 67, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on May 10, 2025, following a brief illness. Born on September 21, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York, William was the beloved son of the late Louis Martin Johnson and Eleanor Margaret Johnson-Clark.

A dedicated husband, father, and professional, William's life was marked by a deep commitment to both family and community. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Tammy Johnson; his devoted children, Dave and Lisa; and a wide circle of friends, colleagues, and those whose lives he touched over the decades.

William pursued his passion for technology and learning throughout his life. He studied Computer Science at Georgia Tech and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix in 2004. Over a career spanning more than 40 years in the Information Technology field, William brought his expertise and leadership to organizations including M&M Mars, Merck Medco, First Citizens Bank, and LabCorp.

Outside of work, William was a man of many interests. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout in his youth and later gave back to the community as a youth soccer coach. A lifelong soccer enthusiast, he could often be found cheering from the sidelines or discussing the latest match with friends. He also found joy in the outdoors, whether on a quiet lake with a fishing rod in hand or in the woods during hunting season.

A celebration of William’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity or to an organization supporting diabetes research.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
