Not known for sugar coating his opinions, Bill was in a zone of his own. Much beloved by his many friends and respected by those who crossed his path he was a wonderful poor man's philosopher. He had that unique ability to cut to the chase and let his feelings be known for better or worse. Once Bill told me that" I wore my feelings on my sleeve and I would be better off to only wear short sleeve shirts from then on"! We were the best of friends in spite of all that right on and on. I will miss him needless to say... Kent Hodgens

Well I will tell you about my friend Crook. We came from an area known as the Mississippi Delta! The agricultural food bowl of the world. Well first in a college class together. I went on in an accounting business and Bill owned a men's haberdashery and was a clothing salesman. Several years later I became CFO in the broadcast industry and ended up GM oh a television station in the West Palm Beach market. A mutual friend called and Bill needed a change in vocations. He agreed to come to WPB and took a job as local sales manager in selling advertising and was successful. In this relationship myself and family became great friends. He was a remarkable person with many talents in sales and a person who never met a stranger. Bill and will be friends here and the hereafter!! Always a gentleman respectful to everyone!! Rest in peace Bill!!

I met Bill about 17 years ago back when we started Northridge Auto Spa. We hit it off immediately due to our Fl connection as we both lived there a long time. Bill was always very helpful with his marketing background in helping us when we first opened. This was before internet marketing. Bill was always caring, loving and very entertaining. I always enjoyed his "Good 'Ole Boy" twist on things from his Mississippi upbringing. He definitely loved to talk to people and was never at a loss for words. I pray for the family as they deal with this difficult time and will certainly miss having Bill around. " Godspeed my friend until we meet again!. -Hap/Heidi/Peter/Andrew Merritt-

Bill was really my first mentor right out of college at WTVX CBS in West Palm Beach where we both were in sales. But what Bill really taught me then was how to dress for success. And being from Philly, that was the first time in my life I ever wore Khaki's and a button-down shirt just to knock around in, because that's what Bill told me to do. Socially, Bill always had a quick wit, especially with Paula and I at happy hours all over the area. I left for Miami then Atlanta, before reacquainting again when I hired him as my Local Sales Manager at WPBF ABC back in West Palm Beach. We had a great run together before the station was sold, and to this day I laugh thinking about the funny things he would say. Sadly we hadn't keep in touch but occasionally though the years, but my thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.

26 March, 2024 Remembering Bill Crook... We first knew Bill and Lynn as neighbors in Jupiter, Fl., back around 1992. We were immediately fond of them. My banking career prompted us to relocate to N'awlins in 1995, but we stayed in touch. They came to N'awlins to share Mardi Gras w/us. Bill had a cute, dry wit, and an irreverent sense of humor. He called things like he saw them-- and did not suffer fools. We also admired how he rolled with the punches, adapting to new careers. The world is a better place because Bill graced it for 85 good years. We know that this is a tough time for Lynn, but hope that fond memories soon replace the sadness she feels right now. With fondest memories, holly and craig stiegel Cataula, Ga.

What a great picture! Hardest sale I ever had to make was getting Bill to come work with me. We had so many fun times together calling on clients. He was the only guy to ever call me Al-leen. He truly connected to people at many levels with humor and often great care. I will truly miss him.
