William Byron Wring Jr., affectionately known as "Bill," passed away on June 28, 2024, at the age of 82. Born as the oldest of five siblings, Bill was a devoted brother to Paul Wring of Richmond, VA; Mary Carl of Danbury, CT; Ruth Harrison of Santee, SC; and Elizabeth O'Connor of Raleigh, NC. He was a cherished uncle to seven nieces and nephews and a beloved great-uncle to five.

Bill spent much of his professional life working at IBM, where he retired after many years of dedicated service. Following his retirement, he continued to stay active by working at the Fresh Market.

Bill was a kind-hearted individual who took pride in his role as the "big brother." He was always supportive, making those around him feel comfortable and valued.

An avid traveler, Bill enjoyed exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. He was also a voracious reader with a particular passion for historical fiction.
