I just found out today that wanda has passed. I am heartbroken. We worked together teaching pe at northeast high school and were good friends. She was loved and respected by students and fellow teachers. She was there for all who needed to talk or needed comfort. We lost touch the last 4 years as we were both so busy which is unforgivable Wanda, I know you are in heaven and looking down on Jason and Mark and will never be forgotten. With my love Jeanne stone

I feel so heart broken. I was such good friends with Wanda & I didn't even know she passed. I was so caught up in my own world. I kept calling & leaving messages on Facebook but Wanda was always so busy I had hoped that was why. My heart goes out to her sons & grandchildren, who she adored. I will write again of the many memories we had volunteering for the CAC & attending Protests.

I look back on the time when Wanda and I taught in the same school system and raised teenagers together. It seems like yesterday. She was the kind of person I wanted to be when I "grew up"—always happy, friendly, and willing to listen. I am going to miss her a lot. Mark and Jason, I am here if you need me. Love you.

I met Wanda several years ago at the Wake County Democratic caucus and I also saw her with the Democratic Women of Wake County. She was so outgoing and friendly and lovely to be with. I will miss her so much although it had been several tears since I saw her because of the Pandemic. Love to you all.
