Obituary For Vivian J. Barrett

Ms. Vivian J. Barrett, 85, of Raleigh, NC passed away on June 22, 2021. She was born in New York on May 13, 1936 to the late Frank and Josephine (nee Mento) Lupo. Vivian married Maurice P. Barrett. Together they raised two children, Mary Ellen and Maurice Patrick "Marcy."

Vivian was a very involved person. She retired from the North Carolina Community College System office, she was a volunteer at St. Raphael's the Archangel Catholic Church, and she was the honored recipient of the Order of the Leaf from the State of North Carolina.

Vivian is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Koch (Paul Koch) and Marcy Barrett (Kathy Barrett); grandchildren, Jennifer Womack (Scott Womack), Patrick Barrett (Michael Bazor), Paul Koch (Naomi Koch), Jessica Barrett (Brenton Thai); sister, Carmela Lupo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice in June 27, 1995.

Vivian was a loving and generous mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. We all will miss her very much.

A Visitation will be held at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615 on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 11:00am-12:00pm.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC on Friday, June 25, 2021 beginning at 1:00 p.m.

    Mary Ellen, Marcy and Families, also cousin Carmela; So sorry for the loss of Vivian a wonderful person who has touched so many Hearts throughout her life in such a loving way.
