Virginia "Ginny" Dacey, 84, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2013. She was born on May 21, 1928 in Oneida, New York to the late Roy and Gladys Kent. Ginny worked for a number of years for Bell Telephone in Oneida and was a very active member of Catholic Daughters and St. Patrick's Church. She also enjoyed sewing, painting pottery and refinishing furniture. Ginny and her husband Frank moved to Raleigh, NC in 1990 to be closer to their children and grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters; Kathleen Cronk and husband, Richard of Raleigh, Mary Dacey of West Tisbury, MA, Patricia Larsen and husband, Lars of Greenville, NC; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Niederberger and husband, Trent, Lars Erik Larsen and wife, Jaclyn, Kirsi Mendoza and husband, Walter, Brooke Mayhew, Christopher Cronk and wife, Justine, Elizabeth Stoneberger and husband, Nicholas, Matthew Mayhew, and Kyle Cronk; five great- grandchildren, Skylar and Frank Niederberger, Anna Grace Mendoza, Ava Larsen and Jack Stoneberger and; sister, Beverly Malloy of Montrose, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frank and her brother William Kent. The Dacey family deeply appreciates the dedicated care given by the staff of the Hospice of Wake County.
