Todd was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Robert J. Smarrella and Lois E. Smarrella on June 14, 1970. He passed away suddenly at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC on Friday, March, 28, 2014. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Lois of Raleigh, his brother, David J. Smarrella of Raleigh, his maternal grandmother, Wilda Merckle of Hagerstown, MD, his aunts, his uncles, his cousins, and his friends. There will be a visitation at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7000 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh, NC on Tuesday, April 1st at 1 PM followed by his funeral at the church at 2 PM.
