Obituary For Terrence Condon Young
INNOVATIVE CHEF, SNOWBOARDER, INFECTIOUS LAUGHTER AND PERSONALITY
TERRENCE CONDON YOUNG was born in Bronxville, NY, son of Thomas and Paulina Young, former Proprietors of The Young Cheese Shop in Woodstock.
Terrence had a true fascination for the genius required to create a unique culinary experience. He was a passionate Chef, trained in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Whales, Providence, Rhode Island. He went on to own restaurants in Annapolis, Maryland and later another in Palm Springs, California, where he met the Love of his Life, Sean Peter Hagen. Terrence had his own catering business named "Epicurious" and has thrown Birthday gala's for both Carol Burnett and Robert Mondavi, while working at the Kapalua Bay Resort, Maui, Hawaii. He catered a Thanksgiving feast for Eric Estrada and met so many other wonderful people thru out his culinary lifetime.
He loved to snowboard and was very proud to master this sport, having been an avid downhill skier for many years. His many adopted and rescued dogs and cats were a very happy part of his life and family. Terrence loved to travel and has lived in Amsterdam, St John, USVI, Boston, Corpus Christi, Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Myrtle Beach, and Vermont. His latest love of life was going into business and sponsoring Go Cart racing in North Carolina, always up for an adventure.
He is forever embedded in our hearts and lovingly survived by his brother Tracy (Suzanne)of Enfield, New Hampshire; his sister Kathryn (Wayne LaSell) of Charlotte, North Carolina; his sisters Pamela (Eduardo Abundiz) and Lisa of Raleigh, North Carolina; his sister-in-law Susan (Quimby) Young of Meridan, New Hampshire and his nieces, nephews and many cousins.
