Suzanne, my beautiful daughter, was a very special child and blossomed into an even more beautiful adult who never had an unkind word, had a great contagious sense of humor, and wonderful friends and family who loved her very much. When she and Paul met it was a match made from heaven and they were a constant source of joy and happiness to all. The grief is painful and raw and no words can express the kindness of so many who have shared their sympathy and personal memories of knowing our beautiful Suzanne. Joan Mason Grether

Dear Paul - I'm so sorry for your loss - I wish I had something "less" cliche to say and it is how I truly feel for you. I've watched you both these last 6 years, and to say I'm encouraged by your selfless support would be an understatement. As my dad used to say, "keep on keeping on".

We never knew Suzanne before but I love watching Pauls face light up when he talks about their amazing life before. If her charm, whit, laugh and humor were half of what I got to know she was/is awesome. I hope she has peace now. Love and miss you!

Suzanne was able to do everything that the hospitals said she couldnt do. She learned to walk again, she learned to feed herself, and because of her stroke she learned to use her left hand. She had a hard battle with her brain cancer but she never complained. We love you and miss you but I am sure God is watching over you.

When Paul began dating Suzanne I was living in Seattle and Suzanne had to come to Seattle for a business trip. We planned to meet up so we could meet each other. We decided on the Cheesecake Factory and one of the first things she said to me was, "I don't share dessert." So funny. I think of her all the time because of that one sentence and if she only knew how much joy that continues to bring to me.
