Obituary For Sue L. Blanton (Linkous)

On Jan. 11, 2011 Sue L. Blanton passed away after her long battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband and sweetheart, Carson Blanton Jr., her two loyal and caring daughters, Phyllis Ann Blanton and Nancy Blanton Trojak, her son-in-law Marek Trojak, as well as her beloved mother Margaret E. Linkous, Lancaster, PA, and the best, most cherished friends of her life, her sisters, Debbie Linkous Toomey, Tampa, FL, and Ann Linkous Heibeck, York, PA. Sue's courage and bravery in the face of cancer will be remembered and admired by all who knew her. She was born in Vera Beach, FL and spent her early years traveling the US with her Coast Guard father and family. In her teens she participated in the Sunshine Festival State Parade and was Homecoming Queen of Weeksville High School in NC. A manager of Human Resources, she worked for Sears for more than 20 years. Her Father, Vernon T. Linkous greets her in Heaven. A memorial will be held in her honor on Jan. 22 at 2pm at Renaissance Funeral Home located at 7615 Six Forks Rd. Raleigh, NC 27615. Flowers are welcome.

    I would like to tell the family how sorry I am for the loss of Sue.I worked with Sue at the Sears store at Triangle Town Center.I transfered from a store in Florida,and Sue was so helpful while I was in Florida and after I got to the store.I will miss her terribly. Betsy

    In memory of Aunt Sue. You will be missed dearly and we love you. You were a wonderful and caring person and as we remember that it will bring comfort to us all.     Carson, Nancy, and Phyllis, My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Sue was a wonderful sister and I will miss her with all of my heart. She and I always found ourselves laughing together about everything. She had a great sense of humor. She loved her family dearly and I know it was hard for her to leave us.
