Steven McClelland Link, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in his hometown on October 5, 2023. He was born to Cloid McClelland Link and Gladys Stevens, and he spent his life surrounded by the love of his family.

He attended Effie Green Elementary School, where he laid the foundation for his future. He later graduated from Sanderson High School.

Throughout his life, Steven pursued a career as an automotive mechanic, a profession he was deeply passionate about. His hands-on skills and love for tinkering with cars made him a respected and talented mechanic in the community.

When he wasn't working on cars, Steven had a deep appreciation for America's favorite pastime: baseball. He enjoyed playing the sport with friends and was an avid fan.

Steven McClelland Link is survived by his son Kody Link, sister, Elizabeth Link Mitchell, and his brothers, Charles J. Link (Sylvia) and James Link. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Cloid McClelland Link and Gladys Stevens, and his brother-in-law, Woodrow W. Mitchell. He is also survived by his former wife and Kody's mother Pam Barrett.

Steven's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication to family, a passion for cars, and a love for the great American game of baseball. His warm smile, kind heart, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, October 9th at 1:00pm at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens.

May he rest in eternal peace, and may his memory live on in our hearts forever.
