Obituary For Stephen Scott Bueddeman

Stephen Scott Bueddeman, age 74, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024. Steve was born on August 3, 1949, in New London, New Hampshire, to the late Norman Lester Bueddeman and Mildred Grace Bueddeman.

While growing up in Etna, New Hampshire, Steve enjoyed swimming, hiking, camping, and other activities that led to him becoming an Eagle Scout. Steve graduated from the University of New Hampshire where he met his wife Margaret (Peggy) Corinne Hill. They shared 53 years of marriage and had one daughter, Lori Ann.

From 1970-1986, Steve served in the United States Army Reserve. Shortly after their daughter Lori was born, Steve began a 36-year career in various manufacturing managerial positions, beginning at Data General in New Hampshire. He then moved to North Carolina to start a position at Mitsubishi Semiconductors and later worked for US Assemblies Raleigh, AES, Eastman Kodak and Kodak Alaris.

When he wasn’t working hard to provide for his family, Steve enjoyed going to the gym, swimming, bowling, attending hockey games, and spending time with his family. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed playing pranks and making people laugh.

Steve is survived by his wife Peggy Bueddeman of Raleigh, North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law Lori and Justin Cassell, grandchildren Josef Scholl, Ethan, Chelsea, Andrew and Emilie Cassell of Fremont, New Hampshire; brother and sister-in-law Greg and Maureen Bueddeman of Concord, New Hampshire; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Steve’s Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 7, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends one hour prior. The family welcomes either flowers or a memorial donation to Dementia Alliance of North Carolina.
