Stella Nicole Breslin, 7 weeks 1 day, of Raleigh, NC passed away on July 12, 2020 in the NICU at WakeMed Raleigh. She was born in Raleigh, NC on May 23, 2020, daughter of Jeffrey and Jessica Breslin. Our Sweet Stella Girl entered this world 15 weeks early with the heart of a fighter. She quickly proved that she was filled with limitless courage and bravery. For 50 days Stella fought with perseverance and grace. Not one minute went by that Stella was not proving her feistiness or showing off a little bit of sass. It wasn’t a typical day if you were not asking her if she was being a bit fresh or misbehaving. What Stella loved most of all was spending time kangarooing with her Mom and Dad and playing escape artist from her “dandle roo.” Although she was only 7 weeks and 1 day, that did not stop her from trying to army crawl out of her isolette. If she was feeling low key, you would be able to find her sprawled out, sucking on her “paci.” Those that knew Stella and even those who only knew of Stella had a special place in their hearts for her. Her ability to gravitate people to her and put a smile on their face was undeniable. Something that stood out most of all, were her eyes, so filled with love. Stella taught us so much about life and love. She will forever be remembered as the sweetest little baby girl. The day Stella passed, she was surrounded by her parents, her Godmother (Nicole Brown) and the rest of her amazing NICU family who loved her dearly. The family would like to send their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and all those who cared for Stella while in the NICU at WakeMed Raleigh. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 12 PM at Renaissance Funeral Home in Raleigh with visiting hours to follow.
