I worked several decades with Stanley at the N & O and while we worked in different departments we had a common interest in boats and I was buddies with Stanleys brother Jim at the paper as well. We talked often and I found Stanley always had something interesting to say wrapped in typically wry humor. Stanley was a really good guy and I am saddenened by his death as Im sure the entire family of ex-N&Oers is as well. I remember how he fashioned a 20-ft-long trash picker upper that he used to clean trash off the banks at Lake Crabtree from a boat hed built, leaving the park cleaner for others. My most sincerest condolences to his family. Dudley Price
