Shirley M. Plowman, 89, of Wake Forest, NC, went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2020. She passed away peacefully at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh, NC. She was born on September 10, 1931 in Johnston, PA to the late Harry B. Longenecker and Helen G. (Fry) Longenecker.

Survived by her husband of 68 years ,Dwight P. Plowman; son, Bradley P. Plowman; son, Kevin D. Plowman and wife Melinda; daughter, Sandra L. Kuhn and husband Michael; son, Brian J. Plowman; grandchildren, Eric Plowman and wife, Kristy and their children Olivia, Sophia and Ava; Ryan Kuhn; Jason Plowman and wife Kelly and their son Cole; Robert Plowman and wife Jennifer and their children Levi, Lucianna and Lola; Melissa Aldinger and husband Bill; Lindsay Koch and husband John and their children Tessa and Tristan; Bethany Plowman.

She is preceded by her sister, Louise Wagner; brother, Robert Longenecker and sister, Linda Joseph.

She was a member of North Raleigh United Methodist Church. Shirley loved her family and enjoyed spending time with husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family. Some of her fondest memories were of family vacations and gatherings at camp in Pennsylvania.

A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date. Her final resting place will be Armagh Cemetery in Armagh, PA.
