Shirley Ann Antonucci, 66, of Raleigh, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 13, 2015. She was born February 28,1949 in Girard, OH.

“Nana” will be remembered for her zest for life, sense of humor, unconditional love, and selflessness. Her contagious smile and laughter filled a room and brought JOY to all who knew her. Her inspiration and strength have impacted many lives and we will continue her great legacy. She is survived by her husband, Louis; her daughter, Ashley; her son, Anthony and his wife, Angela; her two treasured grandchildren, Aidan and Ella, her brothers; Harry and David Goldberg and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lena Goldberg.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 17 from 6-9 pm at Renaissance Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 18 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Leesville Road.

I remember when your parents brought you home from the hospital. A beautiful princess with beautiful blonde curls. As you grew the tomboy came out in you and boy did we pull some good jokes off. You will be missed by many, near and far.... our memories bring you back. RIP Shirley, you were loved. GOD be with you and your family at this time.

We will miss that smile and loving heart but we know that the Angels are rejoicing! Shirley and Lou and the kids were the first people we met when we moved to Raleigh 30 years ago and their friendship over the years has been priceless, through good and bad they both were always their for our family. Shirley will be forever in our hearts! Our prayers are with you all and God and your Shirley will give you PEACE! Ed and Debbie Gramaglia

I sat on the sidelines of many a baseball and basketball game with Shirley cheering on our boys. Those days were some of the best! Shirley was a joy to be around. Family was everything to her and she shared those feelings with great enthusiasm. May the memories of your very special wife and mother bring you comfort and peace. Lou, Ashley and Anthony - I will keep you in my prayers at this sad time. Fondly, Pam Prettyman

To the family of Shirley....... I am so sorry that you had to lose your loved one so early but like you said, Heaven just gained an angel. Her suffering is over and she is now in the arms of the Lord. I know you're all going to miss her but you will one day be reunited with her. Until then, keep all the fond and happy memories in your heart. God bless you Shirley and may you rest in peace. An old school friend, Nanci
