Our sweet and precious miracle, Selah Grace Henn went to be with Jesus on October 13, 2019. She passed peacefully in the arms of her loving parents at Children’s Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Selah Grace was born on July 22, 2019 at 5:42pm weighing 3 pounds, 13 ounces and was 16.5 inches long. In her 83 days on earth, she touched countless lives with her strength, courage, bravery and beautiful soul. She was so deeply loved by her family and many others who came to know her, and will be forever missed. Selah Grace enjoyed getting kisses, holding hands, being held, cuddled, patted, read to and sung to by her parents and nurses. Her favorite song was “You Are My Sunshine”. Her little personality shined through since the beginning with her many facial expressions and beautiful blue eyes that seemed to speak to anyone who looked into them. She was known for being “sassy,, “sweet” and “feisty” by her nurses. She is a true testament that every life matters and has purpose. Selah Grace was born with an extra 18th chromosome, and was deemed by many to be “incompatible with life,” yet she had the absolute strongest will to live and was full of life every day she was on this earth. She came into this world with a God-given purpose that started long before she was born and will continue well into the future. She mystified doctors with her complex heart anatomy, and defied so many odds. She brought hope, joy and endless love to all who knew her. Selah is survived by her loving parents, Lauren and Zachary Henn of Clayton, North Carolina; maternal grandmother, Sue Morrow of State College, Pennsylvania; maternal grandfather, Craig Morrow of York, Pennsylvania; paternal grandparents, Sara and Timothy Henn of Paris, Illinois; maternal great grandmother, Kay Morrow of Hershey, Pennsylvania; paternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Martin of Chrisman, Illinois; uncles, aunts and cousins. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Vintage Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. Visitation and viewing will begin at 3:00 p.m. At the family’s request, please feel free to wear something colorful to joyfully celebrate Selah’s time on earth.
