Rosemarie J. Sorrentino went peacefully to be with the Lord at age 84 on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Raleigh Rehabilitation Center in Raleigh, NC. She was born in Poughkeepsie, New York on July 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine Vitek.

Rosemarie worked for Meredith College for many years before retiring. She loved to be with family and friends whenever she could.

She is survived by her daughters Kathleen Bitleris, Kristine Jones and husband Mark, Mary Ann Orr and husband Steve and her grandchildren Cindy, Samantha, Austin, Summer, Sydney, Cassidy, Corey and Mikayla and her brother Edward Vitek and sister Judy Frame. She is predeceased by her husband Vincent F. Sorrentino and her son David A. Sorrentino.

A mass celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 5 pm at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. Visitation with the family will be in the Atrium at 4 pm prior to the service. The internment will be held immediately after the service at the Columbarium in the gardens at the rear of the church.
