US Navy Retired CPO Roberto Guanga of Olongapo City, Philippines residing in Raleigh, NC passed away on June 3, 2015 at the age of 90 years old. He served his country for 26 1/2 years before he retired in 1971.He was an active member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Olongapo City Chapter Branch 74, was also an active officer of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society in the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Marina A. Portal, his 4 children and their spouses Suzette Camaya{Ferdinand}, Joyce Guanga-Lawrence {Patrick}, Robert Guanga Jr. {Gertrude}, and Gerald Guanga{Laarni}, his 10 grandchildren Ryan,Jacob,Adriana; Kyle; Faith,Hope,Elijah; Abigail,Roman,Gia and 1 great grandson Tai.
