Roberta Adele Jones
April 23, 1943 – March 24, 2025

Roberta Adele Jones, a vibrant and loving soul, passed away on March 24, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on April 23, 1943, she lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and an endless curiosity for the world around her.

Roberta had a passion for gardening, filling her home with beautiful blooms and a green thumb that never failed. She was also an exceptional baker, known for whipping up delicious treats that her family and friends cherished. A devoted collector, her shelves were adorned with countless house figurines, each one a reflection of her love for home and family.

Travel was one of Roberta’s greatest joys, and she found solace and adventure in her favorite destinations—Savannah, GA, and San Francisco, CA. Whether strolling through the historic streets of Savannah or taking in the beauty of the Golden Gate Bridge, she embraced every journey with excitement.

A lover of music, Roberta found happiness in the melodies of jazz and the timeless songs of The Beatles. She also cherished her time with her coffeehouse friends and fellow mall walkers at Crabtree Valley Mall, where she could chat for hours—she truly never met a stranger. Her lively spirit and gift of conversation made her the heart of every gathering.

Above all, Roberta had a deep love for animals, especially cats, who were always a source of comfort and companionship.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David N. Jones; her parents, Bert Roderick Wintle and Adele Helene Wintle; and her step son-in-law, James Bunk.

She is survived by her loving children, Stacey Boone (Vence), Donna Bunk, and David E. Jones (Debra); her grandchildren, Haley Boone, James Bunk, David L. Jones, Christie Johnson, and Stephanie Adames; and her great-grandchildren, Adrianna Johnson, Emmanuel Adames, Avianna Johnson, Nicolas Adames, Jonathon Johnson, Julian Johnson, and Rosa Adames. She also leaves behind her dear brother, Mark Wintle.

Roberta’s legacy of love, kindness, and endless conversation will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate her life and share memories of the joy she brought into the world.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00am with a Visitation beginning at 10:00am at Renaissance Funeral Home in Raleigh.
