We will never forget the endless patience and enthusiasm Bob showed our girls when it came to discovering the snakes, turtles, dragonflies, beetles, fireflys and other inhabitants of our yards. I often felt like he was the grandpa close by that the girls do not have and they were the grandaughters he wished were closer to Raleigh. A special neighbor to us who will be missed. Bob was my very first boyfriend. We met in Coco Solo, Canal Zone in the 10th grade. I have wonderful memories of Bob and I riding the train back and forth across Panama to the football games. I saw this pic and recognized his smile. R.I.P. Bob, thanks for the memories. Barbara Eissing Fowler

I can honestly say that we have all lost a wonderful person. When I moved here to North Carolina back in the mid-80's, Bob and Mary Ann opened their doors to me and became my very first Family here. They both showed me what Southern Hospitality is all about. His Love for Mary Ann, Robert Jr. and Rachel is one all of us should follow. Bob had a great ear for Music and introduced me to many new sounds; even a remote music channel off the coast of Africa. Bob's artistic talent is now part of our home here. He plastered a room and added his special touch and transformed it to one of his pieces of art. We now have a place here to enjoy his talent and Spirit. I can only say he is sadly missed by all that Love him.
