Robert (Robin) Babb left this earth for his Heavenly home on 21 March, 2018. Born in Durham, NC, on 24 April, 1938, Robert graduated Needham Broughton High School and went on to receive his master’s degree in chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his doctorate at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

He received many notable commendations during his lifetime career with Ciba-Geigy and was the supervisor of a lab, prior to his retirement.

Robin is survived by his sister, Sr. de Montfort Babb (Helen Lee Babb), and by his son, Robert Christian Babb. He is also survived by his in-laws, Thomas and Esther Smith and Jerry and Carol Ellis, and their families.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Josiah Smith Babb and Lucille Massey Babb, and by his wife, Olga Wall Babb.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, 24 March, 2018 at 11 AM in the Chapel at Stewart Health Center of Springmoor in Raleigh, NC. Chaplain Phyllis Mayo and Assoc. Chaplain Robin Hardison will officiate. Interment in the family plot at Oakwood.
