There are so many memories of Bob over the past forty years, but among my favorites are the Christmas time visits when all our kids and grandkids were here to help us celebrate. All of us especially enjoyed having Bob and Cathy come for dinner at those times, and they always came with a group game we could play. I remember lots of fun, lots of laughs, and lots of love in those special moments. At times, I felt that Bob and Cathy were surrogate grandpatents to my kids. Bob, of course, always had a joke or funny story to tell. My all time favorite, and Bob loved to tell it, was the story of his brother's induction into the military. The intake officer asked his brother about family medical history, and was astonished when he received negative responses to all questions about diseases, allergies, and illnesses. When asked to verify that incredible information, Bob's brother calmly told the officer that he was adopted! We are all are saddened by his passing and shall miss him. ~ Fair winds and following seas, Bob. Missy
