  There are many of our classmates from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School who remember Bob (or as we think of him, "Bobby") as one of the best friends we had in school. Everyone was a friend with him because of his great personality even after his accident. One of our classmates, Tony Wolfe was waiting for Bob -- and they are real blessings for each other. "We'll stand together . . ." always!

  To Peggy and the family: I just heard today of Bob's passing. My heartfelt sorrow go with you for your loss. I last saw Bob with his activities with the rescue squad but knew him for many years before that. I met him when I moved to his neighborhood in 1949. Although he was a bit older than me he befiended me immediately and we became friends from that time on. I very much valued his friendship, wisdom and easy manner and will forever miss him gereatly.   This is a great loss to us all. Mr. Bob was an awesome man to work with and he always told you the truth. He stood up for those that could not stand for themselves. He always put a smile on my face when I saw him. He never let anything get in his way and he just loved working with people.   Dear Peggy & Family, There are no words to express my deep sorrow that my dear "adopted Brother Bob" is no longer here to give me those pep talks that I so often need, nor will I receive another "Brother Bob letter". I'm sure there is a roundtable up there in Heaven and he will continue to discuss his Book of Proverbs with his family & friends that have been waiting for him. Peggy, Bob loved you dearly and was so proud of his children and grandchildren. I'm so sorry that I can't be there with you and the family during this sad time.   BOB WAS A GREAT MAN HE TAUGHT ME A LOT ABOUT TOWING AND EVEN MORE ON HOW TO BE A MAN AND HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE..I WAS ONLY 14 WHEN I WAS INTRODUCE TO BOB BY MY DAD I WAS GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION IN LIFE AND HE GAVE ME A JOB AND KEPT ME STRAIGHT AND EVEN WENT TO BAT FOR ME WITH THE STATE OF MARYLAND SO I COULD WORK AROUND TOW TRUCKS AND FOR ALL HE DID FOR ME I AM FOR EVER GREATFUL..SOME OF THE THINGS HE TAUGHT ME I USE TO RASIE MY SON AND IN MY EVERY DAY LIFE..THE LORD HAS A GREAT MAN BY HIS SIDE NOW AND HOPE THAT HE WILL LOOK UPON US ALL WITH HAPPINESS FOR WHAT WE HAVE DONE WITH HIS TEACHINGS...GOD BLESS AND REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND......
