She was a member of Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church. She loved her family and thrived on being a grandmother (aka "ReRe"). She loved her friends, her dogs, gardening, crocheting, kayaking, and nature watching. She was a born caregiver by nature and she was loved by all.

Rita is survived by her husband of 41 years, David Willis; her son, Jonathan Willis (Christy); her grandchildren, Harker Leigh and Johnny Willis; her brother, Steve Moser; and nieces, Amber Murphy (Kevin and Adalyn) and Brittney Moody (Joey). She was preceded in death by her parents, HW “Moe” and Sarah Moser.

A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Bay Leaf Baptist Church, 12200 Bayleaf Church Rd, Raleigh, NC. The family will receive friends at the church before the service at 10:00 a.m.

Rita was a wonderful friend. Always enjoying life . I enjoyed listening to her share how much she loved being a Grandmother (ReRe)She loved being in Atlantic & we loved her being here. She enjoyed working in the yard, going kayaking over at the Banks and having fun with friends. Our hearts are broken . She will truly be missed. Our prayers for her family & friends in the days ahead. Brenda & Richard Lowdermilk
