The Broken Chain We little knew that morning, God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, You are always by our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again. RIP Uncle Dyck

I only knew Dyck via the Occupy lists on which he posted his eloquent statements, which were consistently insightful and wise, yet were offered with an admirable humility. I will miss his contributions, and wish I had been able to meet him in person. May the many sweet memories sustain those who loved him at this time of grievous loss. Aryt Alasti

As word of Dyck's departure made it's way across several Occupy groups on Tuesday, we wanted a way to send something to Dyck's family and friends from the online occupy community. Folks who have met Dyck through conference calls and email lists, and a lucky few sharing networks when activists would come to or through Raleigh for actions. Without time to send something to contribute to the ceremony through snail mail, we created an online document for memories of Dyck and to offer our condolences.. We are with you and Dyck in spirit today! Condolences, Memories, Stories of our Departed Brother Dyck Dewid https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fCU1FgOJQZJ1f9O_Q9b1bEXw3jdqMzadG0FD7XuOWqw/edit this is a living doc and anyone can add to it.
