Rachel Allene Hancock, age 76, of Carthage NC passed away on June 11th 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ada Reeder. Rachel was a faithful and loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend. She touched the lives of many and will always be an inspiration. She was a member of Bethel Church of God in Seagorve NC.

She worked as a nursing assistant at Autumn Care of Biscoe. Rachel spent her whole life caring for others. Rachel was loved and will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Elzy Hancock, her son Eddie Hancock, two brothers; Elsie Reeder (Allene) Paul Reeder, One sister; Dot Stone (Thurman) Grandchildren; Lance Nooe (Sophia) and Bridget Hitchcock, Two great-grandchildren; Kierstin and Connor Hitchcock.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 15, 2015 from 7pm – 9 pm at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615.

A funeral will be held at Renaissance on Wednesday 11:30 am followed by a burial at 2:30 pm at Fellowship Community Cemetery, Old Fairground Road Angier, NC.
