Priscilla Baker Nicholas, age 83, of Raleigh, NC, passed away on May 11, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 4, 1938, in Buffalo, NY, to the late Thomas Henry Baker and Kathryn Louise Persons Baker.

Survived by her husband of 61 years, Thomas D Nicholas and daughters, Anne Berry (Larry ), Beth Dixon (John) and Linda Nicholas. She is also survived by her sisters, Susan Baker, Anne Arcara (Sam), and brother, David Baker (Carol). She is also survived by five grandchildren; Mindy Tondreault (Michael), Rebecca, Katie, and David Dixon and Alex Nicholas and 1 great-granddaughter, Taylor Tondreault.

Priscilla was valedictorian of the class of 1956, East Aurora High School in East Aurora, New York. She graduated from Women’s College in Greensboro, NC; now UNC-G, in just 3 ½ years.

She was an avid reader, whose children and grandchildren surpassed the ambitious characters in her books. Her family is wrapped in her love, by the many handmade quilts she made for each of them. Before Tom’s retirement they shared many travel adventures in the US and abroad.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Foodbank of Eastern NC or Trinity Presbyterian Church in Raleigh.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 9:30 am at Renaissance Funeral Home.
