Pravina Patel, 73, of Durham, NC, passed away on October 24th, 2021, peacefully surrounded by her family. Pravina is survived by her husband, Pushpavadan Patel, son Rakesh Patel, daughter Shetal Desai and grandkids, Abhy, Arav, and Alaina. Pravina married Pushpavadan on February 28th, 1966. They would have celebrated their 55th anniversary this coming year. Pravina’s journey started from Itola, India to Hartford, Connecticut and made Durham, North Carolina her home. She loved being around people, family, and friends. Her ability to provide unconditional love to her friends and family was one of her signature traits. She always went out of her way to help her loved ones and her religious beliefs helped spread joy and happiness to others. Her precious time was spent caring for her grandkids with upmost happiness. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021, at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Pravina to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.

Pravina Foi was full of life. Always giving and always with a smile on her face. She was kind hearted and lived free spirited. I remember during every visit we made to Connecticut and more recently to North Carolina, no matter how busy she was, she would fill her house with loved ones, make them feel at home, and cook an endless amount of food for everyone. She was truly selfless and she will be forever missed.
