Patrick Joseph Lundergan, 71, will be remembered at a Catholic Funeral Mass being held at noon on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. A reception will be held following Mass in the Fallon Center.

Patrick was a beloved Son, Brother, Husband, Dad, Friend, and will be remembered warmly by all who knew him. His late family include devoted wife Beverly Little and his parents Robert & Anna. His surviving family include his loving sister Cecelia and her husband Keith, his sister Susan and her husband Chuck, his son ~Tom and his wife Jenie, his nephew Pat and his wife Jenny and his 3 nieces Anastasia, Olivia and Victoria

Born in 1950, Pat grew up a Baby Boomer, he played guitar in a Beatles cover band and graduated high school as the Vietnam War escalated. Facing a low draft number, he opted to enlist in the US Air Force. He served for six years in Thailand and Germany; worked mostly on the radar systems of the F-14 Tomcat fighter jet.

Pat was always able to fix anything! In the 1970s while stationed at MacDill Air Force base he had a side business fixing motorcycles. In the 1980s he had a copier repair business in Pennsylvania. In the 1990s he had a toner recycling business in Florida. In the 2000s he built an impressive toner recycling business that serviced the entire Triad of North Carolina, later selling the company to competitor and friend Joe Newsome.

In his spare time Pat enjoyed gardening, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, camping, pistol shooting, and skydiving. Between 2002 and 2012 he made 174 skydives, most of them with his son. Beverly and Patrick loved animals, owned several dogs & cats, plus volunteered with a horse rescue charity.

In lieu of cards or flowers please consider adopting a pet.

Hi, Cecilia. Just a small note here. I'm not sure if you remember me. My name is Shelly Bru Baker. I'm the guy in the purple jacket standing next to Patrick I want you to know that I am so sad and I was shocked to learn of your brother's passing. Patrick was a good friend. And I miss him so much as I'm sure you do as well. My memories of that time are abundant. And happy. Perhaps we can talk on the phone sometimes. I remember you. Your mother and father. With all very best wishes to you and your family now and always. I'll be in touch. Your Shelley

This memory actually predates me, but it was family lore. Little Patrick and his mom stopped in to see my grandmother. We were all part of a big Italian family, and my grandmother always had fruit on the table for company. Little Patrick saw the grapes on the table and said "Aunt Annie KNEW I was coming. Look, she has grapes ready for me!"
