PATRICIA A. LEAHY DURKIN, 78, of Stuart, FL, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021, with her four daughters at her side. Patricia was born in Bronx, NY, and resided in Jackson Twp., NJ for over 24 years, prior to moving to Stuart, FL.

Patricia was employed by Equitable, Manhattan, NY, where she met her husband, Joseph. Together they raised four daughters before Patricia returned to work with Brouwer-Izdebski Insurance, Toms River, NJ. In retirement, Patricia and Joseph managed First Class Storage, Stuart, FL.

She was widowed in 2001 with the passing of her husband, Joseph and found happiness again 10 years later when she met and married Tom Durkin.

Patricia loved bowling, dancing, reading, and spending time with her family. Above all, she will be remembered and forever admired for the way she cared for others. Whether tending to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, or entertaining friends and family, Patricia had an effortless ability to make those around her feel comfortable and loved.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret Flood; her brothers, Kevin Flood and Brian Flood, her sister-in-law, Louise Flood; her first husband, Joseph in 2001, and by her second husband, Tom Durkin in 2013.. She is survived by her daughters, Irene Menafra and her husband, Cliff of Jackson Twp., Sue Calhoun and her husband, Chuck of Moorestown, NJ, Jennifer Fagan and her husband, Chris of Holly Springs, NC, and Lorraine Glushko and her husband, Jay of Jackson Twp.; her grandchildren, Kimberly Carr, Clifford Menafra, Elizabeth, Kevin and Jillian Calhoun, Erin, Bridget and Meagan Fagan, and Kaitlyn and Lauren Glushko; her great-grandchildren, Cory and Callie Carr; her sister, Margaret O’Keefe; and by her sister-in-law, JoAnne Flood.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial visitation from 8:30-9:30 AM on Friday, May 7, 2021 at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ, followed by her Funeral Liturgy at 10 AM, at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 501 Provinceline Rd., Arneytown, NJ. CDC attendance guidelines will be followed and face masks are required for all services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patricia’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, NJ Office, CenterPoint II, Suite 103, 1160 Route 22 East, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
