Obituary For Patricia Hoskins

Patricia (Pat) Hoskins, 91, of Wake Forest, NC died Sunday, January 30, 2022. Pat was born October 2, 1930, in Charlotte, North Carolina to Louis and Doris McBarron. She was raised in Baltimore, MD and attended college at UNC Greensboro as a physical education major. She was married to Richard Hoskins in 1952. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio at that time where they lived and raised their family of six children. They have resided in Siesta Key, FL, Nokomis, FL, and Huron, Ohio. In 2004, they moved to Belle Meade in Southern Pines, NC. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage until Richard’s passing in 2016. She is survived by their six children, Linda (Kim) Yonkers of Avon, Ohio, Craig Hoskins of N. Ridgeville, Ohio, Sandra Hoskins of Raleigh, NC, Ellen (John) DeAngelis of Columbus, Ohio, Sharon Hoskins of Wake Forest, NC, and Christopher Hoskins of Rocky River, Ohio. She has seven grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her much loved sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Ed Burger of Baltimore, MD. Pat was the consummate home maker. She loved being a wife and mother. She was an enthusiastic tennis player and a expert knitter, but perhaps her favorite pastime was being a passenger in the long car rides she and Richard took to almost anywhere and everywhere. Pat’s Catholic faith has been her companion through life and her devotion to her faith was unmatched except for her love for her family.
