They welcomed son, Brian Jeffrey, in 1956 and in 1957 daughter, Pamela Leigh. The family moved to Houston, Texas when Wilson was transferred for work, where Pat was a devoted wife and mother. Pat and Wilson relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1980 where they would stay and welcome their grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pat loved reading and jigsaw puzzles. Pat was an avid supporter of the American Lung Association and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Mrs. Atwood was predeceased by her husband Wilson, her son Brian, daughter Pamela, mother Golda and father Durelle, and son-in-law Bobby.

She leaves her brother Peter and wife, Betty Oten, four grandchildren Randall, Alexander, Robert, and Allison Corpuz and two great grandchildren, Jacobi Corpuz and Olivia Peterson and many more relatives and friends to cherish her memory.
