Patricia Anne Andrews Hoffman, 90, passed away October 3, 2023 from Alzheimer’s Disease. She was also a Breast Cancer Survivor. Pat was born on April 22, 1933 in Cramerton, NC, the oldest child of the late Leland Mack Andrews and Nora Mae Cornwell Andrews. Pat grew up in Gastonia with her brother, Harry Andrews. Pat graduated from Gastonia High School in 1951. She married her childhood sweetheart, Doug Hoffman on June 22, 1951, after their graduation.

Pat was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was involved in many volunteer activities, too many to list here. She formed Girl Scout Troop #328 which met at Highland United Methodist Church. She led the Troop from Brownies to Juniors (7 years).

Pat is survived by her husband of 72 years, John Douglas Hoffman. She is also survived by her brother, Harry Andrews (Kay) of Gastonia. Left to remember her life and treasure her in their memories are her children, Stephen Douglas Hoffman (Becky) of Boone and Lisa Hoffman Piratzky (Chuck) of Knightdale; grandsons, Charles Adam Piratzky (Marissa) of Franklinton, Andrew Douglas Piratzky (Samantha) of Zebulon, and Aaron Philip Piratzky of Wendell; and three great-grandchildren, Charles Douglas Piratzky and Liam Alexander Piratzky of Franklinton and Sophia Leigh Piratzky of Zebulon.

A Memorial Service will be held at Highland United Methodist Church, 1901 Ridge Road in Raleigh on Monday, October 9, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church. There will be a release of white doves immediately following the service.
