Patricia Mahoney Shute, formerly of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2014.

Mrs. Shute was a member of Bay Leaf Baptist Church in Raleigh, a beloved wife, and a loving mother.

She is survived by her husband, John Shute; children: Susan Cornelius Shultz, Patty Ladd, Mark Shute and wife, Sharon, Joe Cornelius and wife, Christi, Lee Cornelius and wife, Melissa; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Cynthia Mahoney Thomas and husband, Bob Thomas; nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
