Obituary For Patricia Ann "Paddy" Connors Pagnani

Patricia Ann “Paddy” Connors Pagnani, 76, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Saturday, November 22, 2014, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

A native of Waverly, New York, Paddy was the daughter of Raymond Clement Connors and Mary Harrison Connors.

Paddy is survived by her husband, Bruno Richard Pagnani; her daughter, Elissa Anne Pagnani of Raleigh, NC; as well as her three sons and their wives: Michael and Kelly of Nashville, TN, James and Anne of Washington, NC, and Thomas and Vita of Washington, DC. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Thomas Crossett of Johnson City, NY, and their two sons, Andrew and John. Paddy also has six grandchildren: Connor, Sarah, Zachary, Mia, Alessandra, and Dominic.

Paddy was a dedicated mother, devoted wife, and a friend to many, as well as lover of nature, an avid traveler, a serial photographer, and a person of steadfast faith. On April 23, 1960, Paddy married Bruno—a loving union that would last until her passing over 54 years later. Paddy and Bruno transplanted their family frequently over the years in connection with Bruno’s career, eventually settling in the Raleigh area in the mid-1980s. While her greatest accomplishments in the early part of her life would include the birth and raising of her four children, later in life Paddy devoted much of her time to faithful participation in many of the ministries of her beloved church, St. Francis of Assisi in Raleigh, NC, where she served in the Emmaus Society, as a Eucharistic Minister, and as a Small Church Community (SCC) leader, among others. In retirement, Paddy and Bruno not only travelled the world extensively, visiting Ireland, Alaska, Italy, Nova Scotia, France, Russia, Scandinavia, and Israel, but they also routinely travelled to support the academic and athletic pursuits of their grandchildren.

On Tuesday, December 2nd, there will be a Family Greeting session beginning at 1:00PM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Raleigh followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00PM. Interment will follow a 3:00PM procession to the Memorial Garden and Columbarium (on church grounds).

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org/donate or the Catholic Parish Outreach program of Wake County, NC, www.cporaleigh.org or any other charity of choice. Condolences: rfhr.com
